Although it has been well over three years since we purchased our Keystone home, congratulations are in order for a job well done.
We like our house very much and it has served us very well! The construction period was managed very efficiently with an on-budget and on-time delivery. Your company was very responsive to our needs and wishes, including accommodation for Jean’s disability related to her earlier spinal cord injury. The design and accommodations have allowed her to be independent with easy access throughout the property for her electric scooter.
The house design and special attention to orientation on the property have made it perfect for our enjoyment of the High Desert community and the Sandias.
It has been a pleasure to deal with a company that does what it commits to. Thanks for the good work.

I love my Keystone Home!
As a licensed Real Estate agent and top performer in my field, I have the opportunity to see a lot of new homes and to meet every builder in Albuquerque. Keystone Homes is exceptional!
I was not even shopping for a home when I walked into Keystone’s “Parade of Homes Winner.” I was so impressed with the floor plan, the attention to details, and the special attention paid to sitting the house on the lot to capture the best possible views, that I immediately made an offer. The buying process was only enhanced when I met the whole Keystone team.
Keystone Homes is always on the top of our recommended builder list. I know Albuquerque, I know real estate, I know construction, and I know you will be thrilled in a Keystone Home! Thanks So Much!

Serendipity brought us to Keystone. At the time, Keystone had a model home open for viewing in the Wilderness at High Dessert area and, just next door, had begun construction on another home. Tome Steichen, a nicer sales representative you’ll never meet, greeted us at the door and was able to answer all of our questions. The model had already been sold but again we were impressed with the workmanship and the design, how it took advantage of the views and how the travel pattern flowed. Tom suggested we look at the home under construction; it was framed and enclosed so we were able to get an idea of the interior space. Although nice, it just was not what we wanted. We looked at an empty lot just to the west, but it was too small. The first home was sold, the second just didn’t meet our needs, and the third was too small. Sounds like the three bears’ story.
We returned to the model home and asked Tom if Keystone had any other lots in High Desert. He responded, “Did you look at the lot next door?” We replied yes, but it was too small. “Not, not that one, the one next door,” Tom responded, “the one between this home and the one being constructed.” That short dialogue and a short walk to what we had first thought was a narrow green space, led to a secluded lot that provided space, views and value. We knew at that moment that this was where we would build our next home. We gave Tom a check to hold the lot and scheduled a meeting with Scott Hauquitz that next Friday to begin laying out our ideas.
To say that our experience with Keystone has been outstanding is an understatement. From our initial viewing of a Keystone Home to the serendipitous encounter with Tom and his guidance to our future adobe, our experiences with Keystone Homes and its personnel, have been one demonstrating quality, friendliness, and professionalism. Keystone’s architect and designer captured our thoughts and needs and produced a plan that flows, provides space and openness, and livability. From the large wood framed windows providing views of the Sandia and Jemez Mountains, to the stone faced fireplace and dining room columns, the travertine floors, granite countertops, Variance plaster, and beautiful alder cabinetry; from the kitchen nook to the formal dining room, the large walk-in closets, curved walls, and the large covered patios, the design accommodates livability and spaciousness. The quality of Keystone’s workmanship continues to astound us.
In the contractors market with multiple options, Keystone stands out as one of the better choices. Kevin Emmons, our building supervisor is one of the best. His oversight of the projects left nothing unturned. His eye for detail provided insight. Errors in construction were caught and corrected early. Refinements were made with the blink of an eye. Our framer, the last to use hammer and nails, was meticulous and his work is reflected in the tightness and exactness of his construction. Straight walls, no gaps, no leaks; what more can you ask for when building your dream home. Keystone Homes provided what everyone wants but can not get from other contractors. We appreciate that Keystone went that extra mile for us.
We have been in our home for one full year and have had only minor corrections. The follow-up has been fantastic. Our one-year list of corrections to be made is so short, it will only take a day or two to complete. Everything works the way it was designed, a testimonial in itself. Would you contract with Keystone Homes again? You bet, in a heartbeat. When you go with Keystone Homes, you get quality, professionalism, and value for your dollar. Thanks to all of the Keystone Homes’ personnel for the home that you built for us. It is more than just another house; it is a “home,” our home.
